Christmas week in KC

What a week! We left for KC on Friday, the 18th and got home on Saturday, the 26th! We had an amazing time. The boys loved seeing their grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. A winter snowstorm began on Christmas Eve and it was still coming down when we left town on Saturday. We were nearly snowed in on Christmas day and almost didn't make it to my mom's house. Thanks to a lot of hard work from my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and husband, we made it there! Thanks to everyone for making it another awesome Christmas. We're super excited that at this time next year, we'll be back in KC and no traveling will be necessary! Wohoo!

Pre-Christmas celebration at home

We were in KC over Christmas so we pushed our "Christmas morning" up a week so that Justin and I could have some special time with the boys by ourselves while they opened their stockings. PRECIOUS!!!

Justin is at a work dinner tonight so getting the boys ready for bed was all on me. Something I'm familiar with, but is still a challenge no matter how often I have to do it. Evan was super sleepy tonight and went to be around 7:15 which left some time for Luke and I to hang out by ourselves. We played with his puzzles, cars, and his matching game and then decided to call it a night. He was in a great mood and even helped pick up all his toys before taking his vitamin and brushing his teeth. After reading a couple of stories and saying his prayer we rocked and talked about his day. We went to the Magic House with my friend Shannon and her little boy, Owen. Luke said "Owen my friend". I said yes, who else are your friends? He went on to list Evan, mommy, daddy, Shannon, Josie, and Miss Alison as his friends. (Friends from church which he sees on a weekly basis). The tear jerker though was when he looked at me and said, "mom, love all of them, I love all of them". It truly was the most precious statement ever. Luke can be a hand full for sure, but at that moment he melted my heart. Just had to share this precious experience. : )

Scooting

Big happenings going on at the McCrary house! Evan has started scooting around, mostly backing up. He's also started getting on his hands and knees and rocking back and forth. It's only a matter of time and all of our lives will be different. The gates will be back up soon and Luke will have a little brother that can get into his toys. It's going to be interesting! Here are some pics of Ev scooting around (he got stuck between the tote and the jumperoo).

Thanksgiving week in KC

Justin had to work over Thanksgiving, so I took the kids to KC for the week. We had a great time and it was really good to see everyone, but it's good to be home. We missed daddy! These are some of the pictures taken over the week, I left the camera at home during the Thanksgiving dinners, oops.

The weather has been cold and wet, so we haven't gotten out of the house too much. Plus, Luke is getting over a cold, so we've been trying to keep him away from other kiddos. These are just some pictures that we've taken over the past week.

Bath Time!

Luke and Evan took a bath together for the first time tonight and it was hilarious! They had a great time playing together . . . well Luke wasn't too sure about sharing his bath toys with his little brother!

Trip to the Zoo

Justin and I took the boys to the zoo on Saturday. The weather was awesome and we had a great time.
